Foul Play Not Suspect in Death of Novato Woman Found in Car

The woman was found on the side of the road along with her dog, who was treated for heat exhaustion.

Novato police said they do not believe foul play was involved in the death of a woman who was found dead in a vehicle Saturday afternoon.

Police were notified around 2:10 p.m. of an unresponsive woman in a vehicle on Kristin Lane at Simmons Lane in Novato, Lt. Oliver Collins said.

When the woman did not respond to attempts to wake her, paramedics were summoned and she was pronounced dead at the scene, Collins said.
