George Lucas Sues San Anselmo And Family Over Property Debacle
The Star Wars director has filed a lawsuit against San Anselmo and a family that once owned his home over property line discrepancy.

SAN ANSELMO, CA — Famed Star Wars creator and director George Lucas is suing the town of San Anselmo along with a family that used to own his home. The discrepancy is the latest move in a decade-old property line discrepenacy, the Marin Independant Journal reported.
The fight has largely been over a small piece of the property on which part of his home resides. Lucas purchased the lot in 2007 and seeks to keep San Anselmo or the previous owner of his home from claiming any piece of it.
According to lawsuit documents, Lucas recently discovered that a piece of land on his property is a road easement. But the vague manner in which the deed was once written, could allow the family of Frances Hamilton to claim a certain strip of land.

The Hamilton family, who bought the property in 1928, “may assert some interest in, or cloud on (Lucas’) title to, the land between the parcel’s eastern boundary and the center line of the portion of Sequoia Drive that abuts the parcel,” the suit says. That piece of land includes a portion of Lucas’ house.
