NATURE FOR KIDS AT DEER PARK

Where/When: Wednesday at Deer Park (turn left on Porteous Ave, and follow to the end) 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Why Go: Beetles, salamanders, millipedes. The kids will love the hike and peeking under the rocks.  Who knows what treasures they’ll discover!

Pricing: Free. Meet at the parking lot.

PAJAMA NIGHT

Where/When: , 641 San Anselmo Ave in San Anselmo, Friday 6 to 9 p.m.

Why Go: Cuz’ this Valentine’s Day falls on a Monday (a school night) so celebrate it early! The kids get pizza and play games, while you have a well deserved grown-up dinner. Ages 3+

Pricing: $30 first child, $25 siblings

DOODLERS CRAFT TIME

Where/When:  Terra Linda Community Center, Club Room, 670 Del Ganado Rd., San Rafael,  Fridays, 9:30 to 10:15 a.m. 

Why Go: Because Valentine’s Day is around the corner and this drop-in class is just the ticket! Create a work of art (maybe even a Valentine or two) with your budding genius!

Pricing: Drop-in $12

WHALE WATCHING

Where/When: Point Reyes, Point Reyes Station

Why Go: Watch the migration of the grey whales. The kids will be in awe (so will you). Don’t forget your binoculars, coat and hat!

Pricing: Free. It gets busy so call ahead. There’s also a shuttle bus from Drakes Beach.

THE BUDDY CLUB  PRESENTS - BOB KAHN

Where/When: The Hoytt Theater at the Osher Marin JCC, 200 North Pedro Rd., San Rafael, Sunday 1 to 2 p.m.

Why Go:  Mesmerizing storytelling, breath-taking juggling and magic. Just the ticket for a Sunday afternoon!

Pricing: $8 public, $7 member, (kids under two years old are free)
