Homeowner Injured In Armed Robbery In Marin County, Suspect At Large: Police

The residential burglary left a homeowner injured.

SAN ANSELMO, CA — Authorities are asking for the public's help in identifying a person of interest following a residential burglary that left a homeowner injured in San Anselmo.

Central Marin Police said officers responded June 15 to a report of a burglary in progress on Island Drive near the San Rafael border.

Investigators said a homeowner confronted a male suspect inside the residence, leading to a physical altercation, according to police.

Police said the suspect struck the victim with a handgun before fleeing eastbound on foot along Island Drive. No shots were fired during the incident. The victim was treated for non-life-threatening injuries.

Detectives have since recovered an image of a person of interest and are seeking additional photos or video from residential and business surveillance cameras that may assist the investigation, Central Marin Police Authority said.
