Learn the art of jam making from the founder of the premier artisanal jam and marmalade company, Blue Chair Fruit Company. Rachel Saunders founded Blue Chair Fruit Company after nearly ten years of intensive research on fruit and fruit preserving techniques. Rachel and her team produce between 50 and 100 unique and creative flavors per year using organically and sustainably grown fruit, including some of the most rare heirloom fruits. Rachel Saunders authored The Blue Chair Jam Cookbook, which has received widespread acclaim for its extensive research on jam and marmalade, including over 120 recipes. She will be visiting the market on Saturday, August 3, to demonstrate how to make and preserve a seasonal jam using fresh farmers’ market ingredients. The demonstration will take place from 10:30 to 11:30 a.m. under the big farmers’ market tent.
