Man Rips Watch Off Another's Arm in Brazen Marin Robbery: Police
Police said the suspect took off running after the midday attack.

SAN RAFAEL, CA- San Rafael police are looking for a man who they say ripped a watch right off someone's wrist as they walked along a local roadway.
According to San Rafael Police Lt. Dan Fink, the incident happened around 3:27 p.m. Tuesday, in the Dominican area of town, on Convent Court.
"The victim said that he was walking down the street when he was approached by a person who claimed to be looking for someone," Fink said in a news release. "The victim said that the subject asked him a few questions and when the victim turned around to walk up his driveway, the subject grabbed him from behind and forcibly took his watch from his wrist."

At that point, the suspect took off running, Fink said. He has not yet been caught.
The suspect was described as a heavy-set black man between the ages of 35 and 40 years old, police said. He's about 5 feet 8 inches tall with short hair, and was last seen wearing a blue Levi's jean jacket with long pants. He may have had earrings on, as well.
