Deputies determined the BMW was reported stolen out of Marin County, and the license plates on the BMW were taken off a different BMW to avoid detection.

Deputies found items in the BMW that were reported stolen in Santa Rosa, Crum said. They also found bolt cutters, a mask and a large number of car keys most likely used for stealing vehicles, Crum said.

Spence was booked in the Sonoma County Jail on suspicion of vehicle theft, possessing stolen property, evading police, hit-and-run and resisting arrest.
