Sex Offender Compliance Checks Conducted In Marin County

There are currently 38 registered sex offenders living in the unincorporated areas of Marin County. ​(BREAKING)

MARIN COUNTY, CA – Several high-risk sex offenders living in Marin County were found to be in compliance and living within the terms of their sentence during a countywide sweep this week.

Authorities on Tuesday conducted unannounced compliance checks on eight high-risk registered sex offenders throughout the county. Lt. Jamie Scardina of the Marin County Sheriff's Office said they were all found to be in compliance.

There are currently 38 registered sex offenders living in the unincorporated areas of Marin County.

Deputies from the Marin County Sheriff's Office conducted the operation along with assistance from the Marin County Probation Department and State Parole. Scardina said that the Marin County Sheriff's Office conducts compliance checks every couple months, depending on staff availability.
