Marin County's Congressman Hosts Homemade Mask Contest
"I want to see everyone's creative skills and personal style deployed to slow the spread of COVID-19 in our community and state."
SAN ANSELMO-FAIRFAX, CA — As coronavirus cases continue to rise across the nation, the state of California and here in San Anselmo, Fairfax and Marin County, U.S. Rep. Jared Huffman (D-San Rafael) says constituents have the power to do more to keep themselves and other people safe.
"This means following public health recommendations, wearing a face mask in public spaces, observing six-feet social distancing, and frequently washing our hands for 20 seconds with soap and water," Huffman said in an email to constituents of the 2nd Congressional District.
The congressman said public health experts at the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention specifically recommend wearing a face mask in public settings to significantly decrease the spread of the coronavirus and provide scientific evidence supporting the effectiveness of face masks here.
