Marin County public safety agencies and first responders are taking part in a training exercise Friday in Sausalito and Larkspur, San Rafael police said.

The training exercises between 8 a.m. and 12:30 p.m. are south of the SMART train tunnel and adjacent to U.S. Highway 101 near the Cinemark Theaters at 500 Larkspur Circle Landing in Larkspur, and on a vessel at the Army Corps of Engineers dock at 2100 Bridgeway next to the Bay Motel in Sausalito, police spokeswoman Margo Rohrbacher said.

The training exercises are part of Urban Shield, a coordinated training exercise for local, national and international first responders to complex scenarios that takes place over four days, Rohrbacher said.
