Marin Women's Commission Has District 2 Opening

This could be perfect opportunity to get involved as equality advocate representing women and girls of diverse backgrounds and circumstances

MARIN COUNTY, CA – Marin County Supervisor Katie Rice is seeking community members for an opening on the Marin Women’s Commission representing District 2, which includes the towns and neighborhoods of Gerstle Park, Lomita Park, Bret Harte, Sleepy Hollow, San Anselmo, Fairfax, Ross, Kentfield, Greenbrae, and downtown Larkspur.

The application deadline is 5 p.m. Friday, June 9.

The Marin Women's Commission represents women and girls of diverse backgrounds and circumstances and advocates for equality through policy, education and collaboration. The commission is engaged in a variety of activities to advance women’s equality and empowerment.

The Commission hosts the Marin Teen Girl Conference, the Women & Money Conference, and co-sponsors the Marin Women’s Hall of Fame. Each year the MWC focuses its efforts on different topics of importance to the community and this year is concentrating its efforts on women’s leadership and economic empowerment.
