MMWD HABITAT RESTORATION: BON TEMPE LAKE

Marin Municipal Water District habitat Restoration, Fir removal.

SATURDAY, OCT 18, 9 AM - NOON

Restore oak woodland and native grassland habitat by removing outcompeting Douglas-fir trees. Our shrinking pocket meadows are home to sun-loving plants and animals and are hunting grounds for birds of prey. The fruits of our open canopy hardwoods--oak, bay, and madrone trees--nourish abundant forest wildlife. Halt the advancement of the fast-growing, shade-producing conifers.

Meeting time & location: 9 a.m. at the dirt lot at the end of the straightaway of Sky Oaks Rd right before the last turn to the Lake Lagunitas parking lot. We will be there with signs!
