Motorcyclist Dies After Hitting Deer On Remote Marin County Road

Emergency crews arrived at the scene and attempted life-saving efforts, however, the rider was pronounced dead at the scene.

MARIN COUNTY, CA – A motorcyclist died Thursday evening when they collided with a deer on a remote Marin County road, according to the California Highway Patrol.

At 5:48 p.m., officers responded to a report of a collision involving a motorcycle and a deer near 9059 Marshall Petaluma Road, located east of the unincorporated community of Marshall, CHP officials said.

Callers told the CHP that the motorcycle rider was unresponsive. Emergency crews arrived at the scene and attempted life-saving efforts, however, the rider was pronounced dead at the scene, according to the CHP.

Although the road is not heavily traveled, CHP officials said, drivers in the area should expect delays.
