New Hiking Trails Slated For San Anselmo

Memorial Ridge Trail and Red Hill Trail are expected to be completed by the end of 2018.

SAN ANSELMO, CA – Two new hiking trails are slated for San Anselmo. The San Anselmo Town Council recently approved the completion of trails along the ridge between Memorial and Sorich Parks and from Shaw Drive to the summit of Red Hill.

The Memorial Ridge Trail will start behind the batting cages near the Log Cabin at Memorial Park and end at the Sorich Park trailhead. The trail will complete a loop that has unofficially existed for years, according to town officials.

The Red Hill Trail will provide public access to the top of Red Hill. According to town officials, in collaboration with the Historical Commission, interpretive signs will be installed along the trail to inform the public about the history of the area.
