Salvation Army Helps 125 Marin Youth Get Back to School Supplies
The organization recently hosted a shopping spree for them at the San Rafael Target store.

On August 2, 125 local students in need had the opportunity to visit a Target store to purchase clothing, shoes and other must-have necessities just in time for back-to-school.
The Salvation Army is helping kindergarten to junior high students across the county gear up for the upcoming academic year with a back-to-school shopping spree.
Each participating child in the Marin County event had $100 to shop and each was paired with a volunteer chaperone for the student’s shopping. After the shopping was completed, all of the children received backpacks with school supplies.
The Salvation Army of Marin County Advisory Board has helped to raise nearly $13,000 from various fundraising events for this back-to-school campaign. The community also supported the program with other donated items like backpacks and school supplies, which have been valued around $2,000.
