Safe Routes to Schools Community Meeting
The Town was awarded a grant by the California Department of Transportation to improve student walking and bicycling conditions at five locations throughout the Town. The improvements include filling in gaps in sidewalks, constructing ADA-compliant curb ramps, adding and re-marking high-visibility crosswalks, installing a pedestrian barrier, and reconfiguring a traffic signal to improve motorist, pedestrian and bicyclist safety.
There will be a public meeting to hear about the grant, the planned projects, and to receive your input. The meeting is scheduled for Tuesday, June 3, at 6:30 p.m. in the Town Hall Council Chambers, located at 525 San Anselmo Avenue.
Residents, merchants, pedestrians and bicyclists are invited to attend.
Additional project information and exhibits showing the proposed improvements are available on the Town website at http://www.townofsananselmo.org/index.aspx?NID=289.
