San Rafael Man Shot in Leg Near Albert Park

The man would not tell officers who shot him or provide other information.

A San Rafael man was shot in the leg near Albert Park in San Rafael on Thursday night, a San Rafael police lieutenant said.

Police received calls around 8:50 p.m. from people who heard gunfire in the area of Second, B and Brooks streets, Lt. Dan Fink said.

People attending a baseball game at Albert Park also reported hearing the shots.

Officer Kevin MacDougald found a 32-year-old man with a gunshot wound in his right shin yelling and limping in a Safeway parking lot, Fink said. The man would not tell officers who shot him or provide other information.

The man was taken to a hospital for treatment of his injury.
