Scores of Local Students Compete for Top Math Honors
Middle school students completed problems individually and as teams.

Over 180 students gathered to compete in a math competition this week.
The Marin County Office of Education Mathletes Competition began with Round Two at 4 p.m. on Tuesday, January 13, 2015 at San Jose Middle School in Novato.
Seventh and eighth grade teams from 17 Marin County public and private schools participated in this event.

Students individually solved five problems and then school grade level teams pulled together to solve an additional five problems.
At the end of Round Two, the following teams were winners:

Mill Valley Middle School San Domenico School
8th Grade:

Mark Day School
Round Three of Mathletes will be held at 4 p.m. on Tuesday, February 10, 2015 at San Jose Middle School in Novato.
The Mathletes Competition is coordinated by the Marin County Office of Education.
