Marin Residents: Golden Gate Bridge Board Seat Open

The board's purpose is to provide safe, efficient, reliable movement of people, goods and services in the Highway 101/Golden Gate corridor.

MARIN COUNTY, CA -- A term expiration has created an opening on the Golden Gate Bridge, Highway and Transportation Board of Directors, and the Marin County Board of Supervisors is tasked with appointing a new county resident to the position.

The application deadline is 5 p.m., Dec. 23.

The purpose of the district board is to provide safe, efficient, reliable means for the movement of people, goods and services within the Highway 101/Golden Gate corridor. In carrying out that mission, the district operates and maintains the Golden Gate Bridge and provides public bus and ferry systems.

The Board of Directors meets once or twice a month at 10 a.m., in the Administration Building, Golden Gate Bridge Toll Plaza, San Francisco.
