Small Business Saturday with the San Rafael Chamber of Commerce - Shop Local!

This year the San Rafael Chamber of Commerce is celebrating small business by encouraging people from all around Marin to shop San Rafael on this year’s Small Business Saturday, November 29th. In a week filled up with Thanksgiving, Black Friday and Cyber Monday, it has become increasingly important to keep our communities shopping at our neighborhood establishments.

With that in mind, we will be promoting November 29th‘s event through our E-Brief and E-Vents Newsletters, as well as on our Facebook, Twitter and LinkedIn pages. In addition, we will be making free marketing merchandise and materials available to our small business members to help increase awareness of Small Business Saturday! Please stop by our office after October 27th to pick them up or let us know if you would be willing to post these up in your stores and windows to help us spread the word.

We are excited to help make 2014’s Small Business Saturday exceptionally successful for our small business members and our community as a whole. We will also be compiling a list of all members who wish to offer a special deal for that day. Please let us know of any deals you will be offering by November 20th so that we can help get the word out to our membership and the greater San Rafael and Marin communities.

HeadsUp San Rafael, the community foundation for San Rafael’s schools is having their annual Shop Local for Schools event where local businesses donate a portion of their proceeds to HeadsUp. The event will be go from December 1-15, so make sure to help improve our schools by shopping local!
