Suspect Arrested in San Anselmo Indecent Exposure Case
The man who allegedly performed a lewd act in front of 2 girls lives in San Rafael and works in Larkspur.

SAN ANSELMO, CA -- Central Marin Police Authority detectives have arrested a man suspected of exposing himself to two young girls in San Anselmo last month.
The case dates back to Friday, Nov. 18. Two 12 year-old girls were walking on Broadmoor Avenue around 3:30 p.m. when they say a man drove up to them in a silver car. He asked for directions and one of the girls could see that he was exposing himself and appeared to be masturbating. The girls ran to Sir Francis Drake High School, told school staff and the Police Authority was notified.
Detectives working on the case developed a suspect profile, and a photo lineup was shown to a victim, who picked out a photo of the man that she saw in the car. Miguel Silverio was arrested the evening of Dec. 1 at his home on La Brea Way in unincorporated San Rafael. Silverio, age 27, is employed at a restaurant in Larkspur’s Marin Country Mart.

The crime is similar to one that occurred earlier this week. At 4:00 p.m. on Monday, Nov. 28, a 13 year-old girl was walking on Saunders Avenue when she said a man drove up to her and asked for directions. She could see that he was exposing his genitals and fondling himself. The girl ran to a friend’s home and called police.
The investigation of that crime is continuing as investigators are reviewing more evidence. Since the latest incident, police say students at Drake High School have been very vigilant about watching for the suspect vehicle. The car was observed in the vicinity of the school a couple of times this week.
