Tamarancho Fire Near Fairfax Fully Contained
Marin firefighters responded to the 10-acre vegetation fire near a Boy Scout Camp at 4:50 p.m. Sunday. Breaking.

MARIN COUNTY, CA — The Tamarancho Fire near Fairfax was fully contained Monday morning, the Marin County Fire Department reported.
Firefighters responded to the 10-acre vegetation fire near a Boy Scout Camp just outside of Fairfax at 4:50 p.m. Sunday. Nearly 100 fire personnel and several aircraft were dispatched to assist in controlling the fire.
Iron Springs Road was closed as firefighters battled the blaze.

No structures were threatened and no injuries or evacuations were reported, according to Marin County Fire spokesman Bret McTigue.
In a Twitter post at about 10 a.m. Monday, the agency reported that the fire was fully contained and that all crews had been released from the scene.

The cause of the fire was under investigation.
