UPDATE: Sir Francis Drake Boulevard in Samuel P. Taylor State Park Cleared
Due to a downed tree, officials Tuesday morning had advised motorists to avoid the area and use alternative routes to access West Marin.

Update: As of roughly 9 a.m. Tuesday, roadway is clear and now open for use.
MARIN COUNTY, CA – A fallen tree is blocking Sir Francis Drake Boulevard in the area of Samuel P. Taylor State Park Tuesday morning, according to the Marin County Sheriff's Office.
Sheriff's officials issued a traffic advisory at 6:57 a.m. about the closure. Residents and motorists are advised to avoid the area and use alternative routes to access West Marin until the road can be cleared. Officials noted that Platform Bridge Road, one of those alternative routes, is also still blocked due to flooding from the recent storm.
