The Marin Literacy Program will offer an Orientation Session for all interested volunteers on January 21, 2014 from 6:00-7:00 p.m. in the San Rafael Public Library.

 

Wednesday

Heartsaver CPR/AED Training near San Rafael

When: 1 p.m.

Where: 530 Alameda del Prado, Novato

The American Heart Association Heartsaver CPR/AED certification class covers CPR for infants, children, & adults, choke-saving, and how to use an AED (automated external defibrillator). This course is for renewing, recertification, or initial students.

 

KQED-TV, PBS to Air Marin County Shipwreck Documentary

When: 11 p.m.

Where: KQED-TV, PBS Channel 9

A historical documentary titled "The San Agustin: California Shipwreck" highlights the journey of the legendary Spanish galleon San Agustin, which sank off Point Reyes in 1595.

Gem Faire

When: Noon to 6 p.m.

Where: Marin Center/Exhibit Hall (10 Avenue of the Flags)
