A Marin County Sheriff's deputy arrested two people violating parole found with burglary supplies and stolen items in the Nicasio area on Saturday night, a sheriff's lieutenant said.

The Marin County coroner's office identified the fisherman who died when he was swept out to sea from a beach in the Point Reyes National Seashore on Monday.

A double murderer died at Marin General Hospital on Wednesday from injuries he suffered in a four-story plunge at San Quentin State Prison a day earlier.

Marin County teenager Max Wade was sentenced to life in state prison with the possibility of parole for the attempted murder of a romantic rival in Mill Valley in April 2012.

Marin County Superior Court Judge Kelly Vieira Simmons admits the decision to put the teen behind bars for life was a tough call but said "Mad Max" deserves it.

The victim of a home invasion robbery in unincorporated Marin County was tied up and put in a closet.
