SAN BRUNO, CA — San Bruno police are asking for the public's help with tracking down a vehicle believed to be connected to a deadly hit-and-run crash. The crash happened sometime early Sunday morning on Skyline Boulevard between College Drive and Sharp Park Road, police said.

It's not clear what time the incident happened, but police were called to the scene at 7:06 a.m. on the report of a pedestrian lying next to State Highway 35, also known as Skyline Boulevard.

"The initial investigation into this incident revealed that the pedestrian was struck by a vehicle prior to being discovered by police," police said in a news release. "The vehicle that struck the pedestrian fled the scene and has not been located."

After piecing together some of the evidence at the scene, police now say they have an idea of what type of vehicle may have been involved.

"While this investigation is still in the very early stages... we believe the involved vehicle to be a 2004 to 2007 black Saab 9-3," police said on Monday. "This vehicle should have damage to the front passenger side, including front bumper damage and damage to the passenger sideview mirror."
