Support our adopted 101st Airborne

Article Source: City of San Bruno

Join San Bruno and eight other Peninsula cities as we welcome dozens of troops from our adopted 101st Airborne with three days of family-friendly activities March 23-25!

The highlight of the event will be a parade where visitors can watch dance troops, floats, classic cars, military veterans, marching bands and a giant balloon make their way down B Street in Downtown San Mateo starting 11 a.m. Saturday, March 24. Immediately following the parade is a free festival held in Central Park featuring live music, food trucks, face painting, bouncy houses and more!

The events are part of Operation Eagle Visit - Homecoming 50 Years, a collaboration of nine cities that have adopted the 101st Airborne, also known as the Screaming Eagles.
Want an opportunity to work out with the visiting troops? Sign up for a fitness boot camp where you can get “Sore” with the Eagles early Friday morning. Or if you’d prefer to put your dress shoes on consider attending the Celebration Banquet and Gala Saturday evening. Visit www.cityofsanmateo.org/101st for more information on how to sign up.

San Bruno proudly adopted the 101st Airborne in 2017. Come show veterans and our visiting service men and women your support!
