On Sunday, April 8, 2018, at 5:08 p.m., San Bruno Police Officers responded to the area of Cherry Avenue and Sneath Lane in San Bruno regarding the report of a vehicle collision.

Upon arrival, officers discovered an overturned vehicle, with the driver still trapped inside. A San Bruno Police Officer was able to remove the driver from the vehicle to an area of safety where she was treated by paramedics and ultimately transported to an area hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. No other persons were injured in this collision.

The driver, 40-year-old South San Francisco resident Helena Rodas-Aragon, was subsequently arrested for charges related to driving under the influence of alcohol. Rodas-Aragon was cited and released to the custody of First Chance Sobering Facility, following her treatment at the hospital.

At approximately 7:08 p.m. that same evening, San Bruno Police Officers responded to another report of a vehicle collision, on the 3400 block of Fleetwood Drive, in San Bruno. Upon arrival, officers once again discovered an overturned vehicle. One of the drivers, 37-year-old San Bruno resident Neil Gorman, was subsequently arrested for charges related to driving under the influence of alcohol. Gorman was cited and released to the custody of First Chance Sobering Facility. No injuries were reported as a result of this collision.
