2 WEST NILE VIRUS Positive Birds in San Mateo County

The San Mateo County Mosquito & Vector Control District reports:

Two dead birds have tested positive for West Nile Virus this week.

 

1. Western Scrub Jay from the city of Portola Valley.  The bird was reported July 9.

2.  American Crow from the city of Menlo Park.  The bird was reported July 15.

We have set traps for mosquitoes in the surrounding neighborhoods, which will be tested for the presence of West Nile Virus.
