7-Month Investigation Lands Man in Jail for San Bruno Burglary: Police

Police say the arrest was made this week after "a lengthy investigation."

SAN BRUNO, CA – San Bruno police say they've arrested an Antioch man in connection to a residential burglary that happened several months ago in town.

According to Lt. Troy Fry, the arrest was made Wednesday. The alleged crime happened back on Feb. 29, after "a lengthy investigation."

"On the afternoon of February 29, 2016, San Bruno Police Officers responded to a residence on the 100 block of Lake Drive that had been burglarized," Fry said.

Twenty-year-old Dayvion Scott was arrested on burglary charges for the incident, Fry said.

"While the City of San Bruno has fortunately experienced a significant decrease in residential burglaries, these types of crimes can plague any community at any given time," he said. "The Police Department continues to take proactive steps to prevent this type of crime. Furthermore, investigators continue to diligently work to solve those crimes that have been committed."
