Alleged Perfume Robber Pleads No Contest
A woman pleaded no contest to an alleged theft of nearly $400 in perfume from a J.C. Penney's in San Bruno.

REDWOOD CITY, CA - A San Francisco woman pleaded no contest Tuesday to second-degree robbery following an alleged theft last year of nearly $400 in perfume from a J.C. Penney store in San Bruno, San Mateo County prosecutors said.
Shaquett Thompson, 23, made the plea on the condition that prosecutors dismiss a prior felony case and a misdemeanor case.
Thompson is out of jail on $150,000 bond. Judge Donald Ayoob has indicated that he will likely sentence Thompson to a year in jail at the most, according to the district attorney's office.

Thompson is scheduled to appear in court on April 13 for sentencing.
At about 1:15 p.m. on Sept. 22, a security guard at J.C. Penney in The Shops at Tanforan allegedly saw Thompson put $392 worth of perfume into a bag.

When the security guard stopped Thompson, she allegedly ran from the store to her car where the two struggled over the merchandise, according to prosecutors.
Prosecutors said Thompson sped her car in reverse and the security guard crawled out of the way to avoid being hit.
Thompson allegedly crashed the car into three parked cars in a parking lot before she abandoned it and was arrested near Target at The Shops at Tanforan.
Thompson's attorney David Franklin declined to comment on the case.
