• SF man tied to San Bruno shooting had spent shell casings in home: PD (newsbreak.com) — San Bruno police are investigating a shooting near El Camino Real and San Marco Avenue after finding numerous shell casings and later arresting a 32-year-old San Francisco man. A search of a nearby residence uncovered an unregistered firearm, ammunition, and more spent casings, and officers say the suspect is a convicted felon barred from having guns.
   

• San Mateo County Students Lock Phones Away, Then Panic Hits During Lockdown (newsbreak.com) — High schoolers in San Bruno are now required to lock their phones in signal-blocking pouches all school day under a new San Mateo Union High School District policy.
