Things to Know: Grade Separation Meeting Changed

Here are some important things happening around town that everyone should know about this coming week.

Monday, Jan. 9. 6 to 8 p.m. Caltrain will hold an important informational meeting at about the Jan. 11-18 closing of Angus, San Mateo and San Bruno avenues for grade separation work. The meeting was originally scheduled for Jan. 3. Scott Street will be the closest point to drive across the tracks from the Belle Air neighborhood. 1. On Jan. 1, Assemblyman Jerry Hill's in California to revoke a license for 10 years for drivers convicted of three or more DUIs. Until now, these repeat offenders have been able to get their licenses back and continue driving because state law only allowed for a maximum license revocation of three years.

3. The Volunteer Income Tax Assistance Program (VITA) offers free tax help to low- to moderate-income families—generally, those making $49,000 and below.
