We'll be speaking at agenda item 8: Report of the Executive Director.

We'll have "More Bikes, No Bumps" stickers to identify you as a supporter.

If you can't attend the meeting, please click here to email the Caltrain board

and copy all the right folks. It takes many voices to make Caltrain act - please add yours!Suggested talking points:

  • Thank Caltrain for applying for funding to run eight car (instead of six-car) electrified trains in a mixed electric/diesel fleet in 2022
  • Express concern about electrified car layout because (1) no seats within view of bikes encourages bike theft, and (2) it's unsafe to block emergency exit windows with stacked bikes
  • Explain that cameras will not stop bike theft
  • Request that eight-car electrified trains hold 96 bikes per train with seats near bikes and seats next to emergency exit windows
  • Request that seven-car diesel trains have four bike cars or 96 bikes per train
  • Explain how 96 bikes per train will benefit the community - more people biking, less pollution, less traffic congestion, etc.
  • Include your city of residence after your name

Report all bicycle bumps

Please report all bicycle bumps using Caltrain’s bicycle bump report form, which automatically sends a tweet on Twitter. Reporting bumps is critical to show Caltrain that more bike space is needed now and on future electrified trains.
