Bomb Squad Called After Explosives Found In Search Of San Bruno Home

SAN BRUNO, CA — Bomb experts removed explosives from the home of a San Bruno man suspected of selling drugs and illegal firearms, police said Friday.
Ryan J. Beardsley, 32, was arrested after San Bruno police served a search warrant on a home in the 2600 block of Heather Lane on Tuesday.
The San Mateo County Sheriff's Office Bomb Squad was called after investigators located suspected explosive materials and evidence showing the intent to manufacture improvised explosive devices, police said.

A search of Beardsley's home also found a "significant quantity" of methamphetamine, packaging materials, scales and narcotics paraphernalia, police said.
Investigators also found an un-serialized AR-15 "ghost gun," two rifles, a revolver, several high-capacity magazines, ammunition, ballistic armor and a stolen ATV.

Beardsley is a convicted felon and is prohibited from owning firearms, police said.
