May 19 at 1 p.m., San Mateo County History Museum - Author Richard Hurley will give a multimedia show on "California and the Civil War."

California and the Civil War
On Saturday, May 19 at 1 p.m., the San Mateo County History Museum will present author Richard Hurley who will give a multimedia show on “California and the Civil War.” Through fine art, maps and photos, the program will trace the political and military history of the Golden State and reveal how close California came to siding with the South in 1861.
The program will be free with the price of admission to the History Museum ($6 for adults and $4 for seniors and students).

The Hurley presentation is part of the History Museum’s “Courthouse Docket” series, sponsored by the Cypress Lawn Heritage Foundation.
