Christmas Day Shooting Suspect Pleads Not Guilty

The 23-year-old defendant reportedly confronted partiers, allegedly shooting one in the stomach, at a Daly City gathering, officials said

SAN MATEO COUNTY, CA – A Daly City man accused of attempted murder for allegedly shooting someone early Christmas morning pleaded not guilty Wednesday, according to San Mateo County prosecutors.

Hossam Mohammad Ahmad, 23, was already on probation for a robbery conviction in 2016 when he was contacted by a friend who was out of the country and had seen a social media post showing a Christmas Eve party in progress in his room back in Daly City.

Ahmad allegedly went to the home at 3:30 a.m., confronted the people partying with a handgun and threatened to shoot. An argument ensued and Ahmad shot one of them in the stomach, prosecutors said.
