County of San Mateo Hosts 3rd Annual Veterans Open House and Resource Event

Redwood City, CA – The San Mateo County Veterans Services Office, a division of the Human Services Agency, will connect local veterans and their families with available services at its third annual Veterans Open House and Resource Event. The media is invited to the event to learn firsthand about the various government agencies and non-profit service providers available to veterans. These offerings include occupational, health and educational services. The first 100 members of the public attending will receive a free lunch provided by the American Legion Charitable Foundation and Central Peninsula Church.

When: Friday, April 20,, 2018 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Where: American Legion Post 105 - 651 El Camino Real, Redwood City

Background:

Established in 1946, the San Mateo County Veterans Services Office helps veterans access state and federal benefits that help veterans, their spouses and family members. The office is not part of the U.S. Department of Veteran Affairs (VA).
