Critical Injuries Reported in San Bruno Hit-and-Run
Police are looking for the driver who fled the scene of the crash. [BREAKING]

SAN BRUNO, CA β San Bruno police are asking for the public's help in finding a person who hit a person as they were walking on a local roadway, and then fled the scene of the crime.
According to San Bruno Police Sgt. Ryan Johansen, the incident happened around 5:30 p.m. Monday at the intersection of San Bruno Avenue at Cherry Avenue in San Bruno.
"The pedestrian was struck by a vehicle while walking southbound in the crosswalk crossing San Bruno Avenue," Johansen said. "The involved vehicle was turning from southbound Cherry Avenue onto eastbound San Bruno Avenue."

After the person was struck, the vehicle kept going and fled the scene, he said. Meanwhile, the pedestrian was taken to a local hospital with critical injuries.
Now, police are looking for a white mid-sized SUV type vehicle with likely windshield damage. A license plate number was not available.

"The San Bruno Police Department urgently requests that anyone who may have witnessed this collision, or observed any vehicle that may have been involved, contact Sergeant Ryan Johansen at 650-616-7128 or rjohansen@sanbruno.ca.gov," the sergeant said.
