Crystal Springs Sewer Replacement Project

The Crystal Springs Sewer Replacement Project is part of the City’s on-going wastewater improvement program to replace aging and antiquated infrastructure. The project consists of removal and installation of approximately 3,100 feet of underground sewer main lines along Crystal Springs Road (between El Camino Real and Oak Avenue) and El Camino Real to provide a more reliable sewer service and reduce the risk of future sanitary sewer overflows.

The side streets along Crystal Springs Road that will be impacted include Linden Avenue, Poplar Avenue, Elm Avenue, Acacia Avenue, Cypress Avenue, Hazel Avenue, Oak Avenue, Palomar Court and Donner Avenue. The construction will start in February and construction is anticipated to be approximately six (6) months.

The City awarded the construction contract to K.J. Woods Construction. During construction, San Bruno residents and visitors will experience some inconvenience such as equipment noise, dust, displaced street parking and temporary road closures. Construction time will be limited to 8:00 am to 5:00 pm, Monday through Friday. Segments of Crystal Springs Road will be closed during construction throughout the day.

Night construction will be performed along El Camino Real from 9pm to 6am.
