On Tuesday, May 22, 2018, at 5:04 p.m., a San Bruno Police Officer observed a vehicle driving at a high rate of speed in the area of Sneath Lane and Huntington Avenue in San Bruno. The vehicle made a quick turn onto Noor Avenue, exited the roadway, and struck a traffic control signal box.
The driver of the vehicle, thirty-six year old Millbrae resident Alexander Gaboro, was detained at the scene without incident. A subsequent investigation revealed that Gaboro had been driving while under the influence of drugs. He was placed under arrest and released to a local sobering facility for charges related to driving under the influence of drugs, possession of a controlled substance, and reckless driving.
The San Bruno Police Department’s Traffic Division is investigating this incident.
