
SAN MATEO COUNTY, CA — A small earthquake shook the Peninsula area on Wednesday morning, the U.S. Geological Survey reports. The 2.8-magnitude temblor, which was centered just off the coast of Daly City, struck at 10:28 a.m. local time.
According to the U.S.G.S., the quake was centered:
- 2.5 mi WSW of Daly City
- 3.1 mi W of Colma
- 3.7 mi S of San Francisco Zoo
- 4.3 mi NNW of Pacifica
- 8.7 mi SW of San Francisco
So far, residents in South San Francisco, Daly City, Pacifica, San Bruno, Brisbane and San Francisco have reported feeling the shakervia the U.S.G.S. 'did you feel it?' application.
