Ed’s subject matter is Central California and the San Francisco Bay Area, where there is a wealth of source material from the ocean, wine country, rolling hills, the urban setting of San Francisco, and the high Sierra.

Most of my paintings are landscapes. He like to show the brushwork or "structure" of the painting, and rather than painting a subject as it is, he paints it as he would like it to be He spent many years as an industrial designer with his own business and now is painting full time. He paints from subjects around central
California and San Francisco Bay Area. He has participated in numerous shows and has won many awards and he was a finalist in Artist's Magazine's recent painting competition. He is in corporate and private collections.
Currently, he is represented by the Valley Art Center in Walnut Creek, the Allegro Gallery in Woodside and the Museums of Los Gatos Gallery in Los Gatos. His work is mostly completed in his studio in Los Gatos. Ed Lucey joined Fine Art America on July 9th, 2009.
