Elderly Victim Attacked Outside San Bruno Business, Robbed: Cops

The man accused of the attack was arrested on suspicion of robbery, kidnapping, assault and elder abuse, police said.

SAN BRUNO, CA — An elderly victim who was allegedly attacked and threatened outside of a San Bruno business before being moved and robbed helped police catch the suspect, authorities said Saturday. Officers ultimately arrested a man on suspicion of robbery, kidnapping, assault and elder abuse.

George Havili, 21, of Citrus Heights was arrested and booked at the San Mateo County Jail on suspicion of the crimes, which the victim said were committed on the evening of Oct. 13. The victim notified police of the incident on Thursday.

Police did not say where the business is located.

"The victim reported being physically assaulted, threatened, and moved before having personal items removed from their person," police said in a news release. "A subsequent investigation revealed evidence that led to the identity of the suspect, who was located and arrested."
