Rancho Day Fiesta

In 1842, Don Francisco Sanchez started building an adobe home for his family. Discover what their life was like during the annual Rancho Day Fiesta at the Sanchez Adobe.

A living history event, visitors will be invited to make adobe bricks, stamp leather, dip candles, weave wheat, churn butter, spin wool and make tortillas during this fun-filled day.  Early Californian music and dancers will demonstrate many dance steps of the mid-nineteenth century.

Sponsored by the Sanchez Adobe Docents, the San Mateo County Historical Association and the San Mateo County Parks and Recreation Department.
