Felon Nabbed With Ammo, Meth In San Bruno: Police

Police say they contacted the man regarding "a city ordinance violation," but ended up finding much more.

SAN BRUNO, CA – San Bruno police arrested a man Monday night for allegedly being in possession of methamphetamine and ammunition, according to police officials.

At about 10 p.m., officers stopped 35-year-old Edgard Jose Barriosmendoza in the 800 block of San Mateo Avenue for a suspected "city ordinance violation," according to police. Police did not reveal what the suspected violation was.

"Barriosmendoza, who is currently on probation in San Mateo County, was found to be in possession of ammunition," police said in a news release. "Barriosmendoza is a previously convicted felon, and it is unlawful for him to possess ammunition."

"He was also found to have methamphetamine on his person," police added.

No additional information about the arrest was available.
