First time homebuyer workshop January 23 2018 in South San Francisco.

With the new higher loan limits, HEART helped 12 families buy their first home in 2017. Eight years ago, Realtors on the HEART board helped created a program to help middle-income families buy market-rate homes in San Mateo County. We have helped 80 families so far. Buying a home is not easy in this market, but it can be done.

Come find out how you can use the HEART loan to buy a market-rate home or condo anywhere in San Mateo County at our free workshop in January. HEART offers down payment loans for qualified first-time homebuyers up to $119,278, which, together with a first 30-year, fixed rate mortgage from Meriwest Mortgage, enables the borrower to finance their first home with 5% down and no PMI (private mortgage insurance) HOW do I qualify?
  • Work or live in San Mateo County
  • Income of $150,000 or less, credit score 680 or better
  • No restrictions on purchase or resale
  • Home price up to $795,187 for qualified borrowers
  • Get More Program Information Here
Please note: HEART does not have access to below-market rate homes for purchase. You will need to review your income, debts and credit score to see how much you can borrow. You will also need to review the cost of entry level homes and condos to see what you can afford, and where you should be looking.
