Flaming Orange Chicken: Investigation Underway for Fire at Peninsula Panda Express

Firefighters are investigating the cause of a blaze that damaged a Panda Express restaurant in Daly City Monday morning.

DALY CITY, CA - A fire damaged a Panda Express restaurant in Daly City Monday morning, according to the North County Fire Authority.

The fire was reported at about 9:45 a.m. at the restaurant at 701 Westlake Center. Fire crews arrived to find smoke and flames coming from the inside back and roof of the restaurant.

The fire was contained to that part of the building and firefighters remained at the scene for more than an hour to make sure it was extinguished and to complete salvage and overhaul operations, fire officials said.

Employees and other occupants at the building had evacuated prior to the arrival of firefighters. No one was injured in the blaze.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.
