Gruesome Details Revealed In San Bruno Dismemberment Death
BREAKING: Though details in the apparent murder remain limited, police released new information at a press conference Friday.

SAN BRUNO, CA β A human body that was found at a San Bruno residence this week had been dismembered and left both indoors and outdoors, police said at a news conference Friday. The man suspected of doing the gruesome task has been arrested on a slew of charges, including murder, robbery, burglary, unlawful possession and use of tear gas, as well as being a felon in possession of a firearm.
The identity of the victim is not yet known, as police are waiting on the coroner's office to make official confirmation.
According to San Bruno Police Chief Ed Barberini, who hosted a press conference on the case Friday afternoon, the body was found Thursday as a result of a missing persons case that was first filed on March 29. There are currently two crime scenes that police continue to process β one at the 3700 block of Pacific Heights Boulevard, where both the suspect and the body were found, and one just down the block, which is an address associated with the still-unidentified missing person.

The suspect, 50-year-old David Stubblefield, was an acquaintance of the missing person and lives in the 3700 block of Pacific Heights Boulevard, the chief said.
"At this time the human remains cannot be identified," Barberini said at the press conference and in a news release. "To be clear, the missing person case originally filed with the San Bruno Police Department is still an open investigation and is not closed due to yesterdayβs developments."

Details surrounding the death remained limited on Friday, as police said they are still piecing together the evidence. What's more, Barberini said he couldn't yet confirm if the entire body was found.
"A portion of it was outdoors and a portion of it was within a structure," he said.
Officials from SBPD and the county crime lab continued to work Friday to process both crime scenes, he said.
"This is an arduous task and will continue today and be completed sometime this evening," he said.
"While we do have a subject in custody, this type of investigation requires an extremely deliberate and meticulous approach," he added. "Information will be made as soon as possible, but we do not anticipate the release of additional information in the immediate future."
