For Hearty Noontime Fare, Try Little Luca Sandwich Shop

This deli enjoys a large and devoted following.

You could stand on a corner and look around until a restaurant sign draws you in. But we've got a better idea. Each week, Patch picks a great restaurant either in town or nearby that is worth checking out. Here's this week's choice:

Little Luca is well known for its hearty and interesting sandwiches. Barbecued beef brisket? No, you may not find it anywhere else; likewise fire-roasted steak. Choices accommodate the vegetarian—condiments include sprouts—as well as the carnivore (check out the three-meat special). Some devotees say the secret is in the garlic sauce, while others argue the Dutch Crunch bread makes the difference. In any case, Little Luca enjoys tremendous popularity throughout the Peninsula. Prices average $6.50 to $7. Orders can be faxed in.
